A Word From Our Pastor
I believe that our call as people of God is to discern how God is already at work in the world around us, and then join God in that mission. This is an exciting, messy, challenging, rewarding, and grace-filled (even if not always graceful) calling that leads us into worship, service, and fellowship with one another, our neighborhood, and the world. This work of discernment also requires us to be in community, because it’s not work that we can do on our own.
And Our Father is a loving, welcoming, fantastic community. We are a people who prioritize relationships, viewing one another as brothers and sisters in one family of Christ. We are a people who prioritize hospitality, believing that God calls us to welcome the stranger, love the outcast, and advocate for the marginalized. We are a people who prioritize grace, acknowledging that we all have fallen short of God’s call and yet in God’s infinite love we are made new creations to go out into the world and spread God’s goodness. This grace is not earned. It is a free gift from God. But it is also a call. It is a call to take this grace into a world that desperately needs to hear it. It is a call to be the hands and feet of Christ, serving our neighbors and the world in the name of Jesus.
We would love for you to join us sometime; to join us as we worship, as we serve, and as we discern what God is up to in this place, and what God is calling us to do and to be. You are most welcome here.
